Arthur W. Scott, Jr. of Ridgely, MD, died Tuesday, September 25, 2018, at the Intergrace Bayleigh Chase in Easton, MD. He was 87 years old.
Born in Brooklyn, MD, Mr. Scott was the son of the late Arthur Williams Scott, Sr. and Hilda Schuster Scott. He was a US Army veteran and worked for AT&T as a communications technician for 30 years before retiring in the mid 1980’s. A no frills kind of man, he loved gardening, skeet shooting, and rock fishing on the Chesapeake. Most of all, he was a kind man who deeply loved his family and they deeply loved him.
Mr. Scott is survived by his wife, Patricia A. Scott of Ridgely; two grandchildren: Heather Whewell of Ridgely and Joshua Whewell of Easton; two great grandchildren: Paige Pritchett and Aiden Scott Whewell; five stepchildren: Mark Whewell, Rick Whewell, Tommy Whewell, Patrick Whewell, and Kathleen Freed; and many other grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a stepson, Bryan Whewell and a brother, William August Scott.
Funeral services will be held at 11am on Friday, October 5th, at the Moore Funeral Home, P.A. located at 12 South Second Street in Denton where friends may visit with the family from 10 until 11 before the service. Pastor Dwayne Dixon will officiate.
The interment will be at a later time in the Maryland Eastern Shore Veterans Cemetery in Hurlock.
