Donald R. Tegeler, Sr. age 83 formerly of Pasadena, MD and Springfield WV, passed away in Denton, MD on Friday, December 6, 2019.
Born in Baltimore, MD on October 1, 1936, Don was the son of the late Henry & Louise Tegeler. Don’s true friends knew him as Teg or Whiskey Man (his CB handle). He was pegged the later because of his lifelong career as a truck driver for Churchill Distributors, a spirits distribution company. After retiring from truck driving, Don moved to Springfield, WV. He was an honorary member and loved going to American Legion, VFW’s, and Moose Lodge. Whiskey Man never met a stranger and enjoyed people in general. He enjoyed the tractor pulling circuit and his yearly deep sea fishing trip.
Mr. Tegeler is survived by two daughters: Doreen Schuman (Tim) of Denton MD and Teresa Milligan of Pasadena MD; and a son, Donald R. Tegeler Jr. of Greensboro MD; three grandchildren: Christine Jallade (Jib) Denton MD, Robert Carson and Bethany Milligan both of Pasadena MD; and four great grandchildren: Caroline & William Jallade, Bradley Milligan and Destinie Ludwig and a sister Barbara Allin of PA.
Memorial Services will be held at Gonce Funeral Home at 169 Riviera Drive in Pasadena, MD at 11:30 on January 4th with friends calling from 10am-Noon. In Lieu of Flowers donations can be made to the Salvation Army (https://www.salvationarmyusa.org/usn/waystogive.
