John Malcolm Burbank, Jr.

     John M. Burbank, Jr. of Denton, MD, passed away on Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at the UMSMC at Easton, MD. He was 84 years old.

     Born in Baltimore on August 26, 1934, Mr. Burbank was the son of the late John Malcolm Burbank, Sr. and Loretta Rosalie Hess Burbank. His wife, Joan M. Burbank, passed away on November 19, 1993. Mr. Burbank had graduated from Mt. St. Joseph’s High School in Baltimore. He attended the University of MD before enlisting in the US Army. He and his wife moved to Caroline County from Prince Georges County in 1989 and he began a career of farming. His life was his wife and family and farming.

     Mr. Burbank Is survived by two daughters: Loretta Lee Pfeiffer of Burrsville, MD and Melenie A. Burbank of Greenwood, DE; 6 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.

     A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Friday, February 1st, at the St. Elizabeth’s Roman Catholic Church on First Street in Denton. Friends may visit with the family from 9:30 until 10:15 before the service at the Moore Funeral Home, P.A., located at 12 S. Second Street. The interment will be at 12 Noon in the Maryland Eastern Shore Veteran’s Cemetery, 6827 East New Market Elwood Road near Hurlock, MD. If friends wish to send memorial donations, the family suggests sending them to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas PL., Memphis, TN 38105.
