Joyce M. Blizzard of Cordova, MD, died Tuesday, June 12, 2018, at her home. She was 73 years old.
Born in Denton, MD, Mrs. Blizzard was the daughter of the late John Sylvester Redden and Ethel Virginia Redden Hill Neal. She was the President, owner, and operator of the Mid Shore Residential Care and Services, Inc. and she was a Lifetime member of the Women of the Easton Moose. Her greatest loves in her life were her husband, children, grandchildren, and great grandchild. He next greatest loves were dogs, coffee, and cereal.
Mrs. Blizzard is survived by her husband, James E. Blizzard of Cordova; a daughter, Linda Laird of Cordova; a son, James E, Blizzard II (Stephanie) of Cordova; five grandchildren: Kevin Hackett II (Nichole), Kelley Hackett, Noel Blizzard, Lillian Blizzard, and Abigail Redden; and a great grandson, Grayson Hackett; a sister, Joan E. Cunningham (Robert) of Monticello, IN; two brothers: William E. Neal of Greensboro, MD and John F. Neal (Anna) of Bridgeville, DE; and a son-in-law, Kevin Hackett of Easton. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her stepfather, Edward W. Neal and a sister, Pamela Good Trice.
Funeral services will be held at 12 Noon on Friday, June 15th, at the Moore Funeral Home, P.A., located at 12 S. Second Street in Denton where friends may call from 6 until 8 on Thursday evening and for one hour prior to the service on Friday. The interment will be in the Fairview Church Cemetery on Chapel Road in Cordova.
