L. Lorraine Faulkner

     L. Lorraine Faulkner of Wye Mills, MD, passed away on Friday, September 21, 2018, at the South River Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Edgewater, MD. She was 90 years old.

     Born in Trappe, MD on February 16, 1928, Mrs. Faulkner was the daughter of the late Norman Abram Saulsbury and Nora Eliza Coleman Saulsbury. Her husband of 69 years, George Melvin Faulkner, Jr., died November 11, 2015. A homemaker, Mrs. Faulkner and her husband had lived in Cordova, MD until the 1960’s. They then moved to Lanham, MD and then moved back to the Eastern Shore in 1983.

     Mrs. Faulkner is survived by two daughters, Nancy J. Faulkner (Shelley Sutphin) of Cordova and Carol A. Kyler (John) of Dunkirk, MD; three grandchildren, Jay Kyler (Kelly), Jenna and Kent; two sisters, Pearl Wilson and Shirley Shortall, both of Easton, MD. She was preceded in death by three brothers: Oliver Saulsbury, George Saulsbury, and Rodney Saulsbury; a sister, Patricia Kenton; and her grandchild Michaela.

     A graveside service will be held at 2 PM on Wednesday, September 26th, in the Chapel at the Eastern Shore Veterans Cemetery located at 6827 East New Market Elwood Road in Hurlock, MD.
