Leonard Shahan

Leonard Shahan of Denton, MD passed away on Saturday, May 19, 2018, at the Caroline Hospice House in Denton. He was 60 years old.

Born in New Jersey on December 10, 1957, Mr. Shahan was the son of the late James Meredith Shahan and Ethel May Hawn Shahan. He had lived on Maryland’s Eastern Shore since 1967. He had lived for many years in Ridgely, MD and then Tilghman Island, MD before moving to Denton to live with his son, Lenny.

Mr. Shahan is survived by his son, Leonard Shahan, Jr.; two brothers: James M. Shahan, Jr. of Hurlock, MD and William Shahan of New Jersey; four sisters: Pat Manship of Ridgely, Libby Nichols (Ricky) of Denton, Letitia Palmatary (Frank), and Ethel Mae Shahan of Ridgely; a half-sister, Janet Lloyd of New Jersey; and his ex-wife, Brenda Shahan.

A family memorial committal service will be held in the Ridgely Cemetery. If friends wish to send memorial donations in Mr. Shahan’s memory, the family suggests sending them to the Moore Funeral Home, P.A., 12 S. Second St., Denton, MD 21629 to help defray funeral expenses.
