Lorraine Carol Fitzhugh

     Lorraine C. Fitzhugh of Ridgely, MD, passed away on Saturday, January 5, 2019, at the Compass Hospice in Centreville, MD. She was 80 years old.

     Born in Massachusetts on June 12, 1938, Mrs. Fitzhugh was the daughter of the late Henry Dumais and Natalie Lorraine Benoit Dumais. Mrs. Fitzhugh had been a Nurse’s Aide for Eldercare. She was a member of the St. Benedict’s Roman Catholic Church in Ridgely.

     Mrs. Fitzhugh is survived by four sons: Timothy D. Fitzhugh, Sr. of Greensboro, MD, Daniel Joseph Fitzhugh of Tucson, AR, Michael Henry Fitzhugh of Cambridge, MD, and Jonathan Edward Fitzhugh of Harrington, DE; one daughter, Claudia Natalie Perks of Daytona, FL; a sister, Jeanne M. Hansen of North Port, FL; 8 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

     A memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM in the St. Benedict’s Roman Catholic Church in Ridgely on Tuesday, January 22nd. Friends may visit with the family from 10 until 10:30 before the service at the Moore Funeral Home, P.A. in Denton, MD. The interment will follow in the Ridgely Cemetery.

     In lieu of flowers, the family requests for friends to donate to the Moore Funeral Home, P.A., 12 S. 2nd Street, Denton, MD 21629 to help defray funeral expenses.
