Marion E. Atwood

     Marion E. Atwood of Cordova, MD passed away on Saturday, December 8, 2018, at the Heartfields Assisted Living in Easton, MD. She was 88 years old.

     Born in Eastport, MD on December 24, 1930, Mrs. Atwood was the daughter of the late Albert Aloysius Tyler and Bertha Amelia Bergner Tyler. Her husband, Grayden W. Atwood, died July 26, 1989.

     Mrs. Atwood was a homemaker. She was an active member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Easton where she was a member of the Sunny Day Church.

     Mrs. Atwood is survived by a son, Anthony William Atwood of Chestertown, MD; a daughter, Barbara Gail Atwood Galloway (Donald Galloway) of Preston, MD; a grandson, Anthony Atwood, Jr. and a great grandchild; a sister, Virginia Hewett of Essex, MD; four stepchildren; and many step-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her stepbrother, Donald Watson and a stepchild.

     Funeral services will be held at 1 PM on Saturday, December 15th, at the Moore Funeral Home, P.A. located at 12 S. Second Street in Denton where friends may call one hour prior. The interment will be in the St. Paul’s Episcopal Church Cemetery in Hillsboro.
