PAUL ARTHUR DODD of Greensboro, MD passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 20, 2018. He was 62 years old.
Born in Cheverly, MD on February 5, 1956, Pastor Paul was the son of the late Lewis and Marjorie Lamphiear Dodd. He graduated from Blair High School and graduated from Prince George's Community College with Honors. He also worked as a cartographer for twenty years before entering the ministry through the TRIM program of the Brethren Academy for Ministerial Leadership. Pastor Paul was the current minister for Ridgely Church of the Brethren, Ridgely, MD. He was active in Witness for Peace, Christian Peacemaker Teams and Brethren Peace Fellowship. He had great faith in his religion and was thankful his path led him to his current church family.
In addition to his wife, Phyllis “Yvonne”, Pastor Dodd is survived by one daughter: Rebecca D. Keubler (David) of Seaford, DE; three sons: Gabriel P. Dodd (Pamela) of Harrisonburg, VA, Samuel L. Dodd (Lovie) of Greensboro, MD, and Daniel I. Dodd (Michelle) of Westminster, MD; and his sister: Miriam “Missy” Dodd of Greenbelt, MD. He has twelve grandchildren, Adelyn, Aubrey, Brittany, Caleb, Chloe, Daniel, Elias, Jude, Malachi, Maria, Olivia and Raleigh. He is predeceased by two sisters: Edith Sand and Margaret Dodd.
Friends may call from 4 – 6 p.m. on Sunday evening, March 25th, at Moore Funeral Home, P.A. in Denton, MD. Funeral services for Pastor Dodd will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, March 26, 2018 at Ridgely Church of the Brethren (Eastern Shore), 110 Park Ave., Ridgely, MD. On Tuesday, March 27th, there will be a private family interment at 11:00 a.m. at George Washington Cemetery located at 9500 Riggs Rd., Adelphi, MD. A (Western Shore) memorial service will be held at 12:00 noon, Tuesday, March 27th at University Park Church of the Brethren located at 4413 Tuckerman St., University Park, MD.
