Rebecca Bishop of Millsboro, DE, passed away on Saturday, September 14, 2019, at the MD Shock Trauma in Baltimore, MD as the result of an automobile accident. She was 79 years old.
Born in Talbot County, MD on April 12, 1940, Mrs. Bishop was the daughter of the late Roland Arthur Blann, Sr. and Anna Sayers Blann. She grew up in Talbot County and liked to play cards, fish, swim, and visiting her childhood home of Oxford. She loved anything to do with water and had a tremendous love of animals.
Mrs. Bishop is survived by two daughters: Sandi Warren of Cordova, MD and Lea Grimes of Florida; three sons: Louis Grimes of Florida, Douglas Mullikin of Cambridge, MD and Richie Mullikin (Kathy) of Easton, MD; a stepson, Karl Nieberlein of Cordova and a stepdaughter, Tammy Levi of North Carolina; 14 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and a great great grandson coming in January. She was also survived by a close friend, Deborah Hutson, and her two dogs, Manny and Dolly. She was predeceased by six brothers: Roland A. Blann, Jr., Gerald Blann, Sr., Robert Blann, Sr., Ronald Blann, Sr., Anthony Blann, Sr., and John W. Blann; and two sisters, Barbara Wooters and Rosalie Dean.
A memorial service will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, September 21st, at the Calvary Baptist Church located at 1120 Market Street in Denton where there will be a visitation with the family from 10 until 11 before the service. The interment will be private.
