Rena W. Nordberg of Denton, MD, passed away peacefully at her home. She was 88 years old.
Born in Denton on May 21, 1929, Mrs. Nordberg was the daughter of the late H. Ralph Wright and Margaret Hopkins Wright. Her husband, David Lee Nordberg, died March 12, 1997.
Mrs. Nordberg had lived in the Denton area all of her life and graduated from Caroline High School. She loved yard sales, hummingbirds, and glass shoes. She sold Avon products for many years in the Denton area. But, most of all, she was a wife, mother, homemaker, and a loving grandmother.
Mrs. Nordberg is survived by four daughters: Darlene J. Cannon (Ron) of Preston, Linda L. Andrew (Charlie) of Denton, Carol Turbitt (Paul) of Hurlock, and Dinah Smith (Lawrence) of Linkwood, MD; 8 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mrs. Nordberg will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, April 18th, at the First Wesleyan Church in Denton where friends may call from 10 until 11 before the service. The interment will be in the Denton Cemetery. If friends wish to send memorial donations, the family suggests sending them to the First Wesleyan Church of Denton, 807 Market Street, Denton, MD 21629.
