Sandra M. Eckeard

     Sandra M. Eckeard of Denton, MD passed away at her home on Wednesday, December 19, 2018, surrounded by family and friends. She was 72 years old.

     Born in Ridgely, MD on July 28, 1946, Mrs. Eckeard was the daughter of the late Gustave Frederick Rampmeyer and Marie Elizabeth Hickman Rampmeyer. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Mrs. Eckeard is survived by her husband, Irvin Henry Eckeard, Sr. of Denton; three daughters: Betty Jo “B.J.” Devers (Dennis) of Denton, Cheryl Lynn Getchell (Scott) of Denton, and Dawn Marie Northam (John) of Denton; her son, Irvin Henry “Hank” Eckeard, Jr. of Denton; three brothers: Gustave Rampmeyer, Jr. of Denton, Larry Rampmeyer of Ridgely, and Robert Rampmeyer of Denton; two sisters, Brenda Anthony and Theresa Cohey, both of Ridgely; 12 grandchildren: Raymond Devers (Kesley), Richard Everage Jr, Brandon Eckeard, Lindsey Wade Eckeard, Christopher Devers, John Wayne Northam, Jr., Brooke Thomas, Kyle Getchell, Ashley Eckeard, Tyler Devers (Kristina), Austin Eckeard, and Patrick Cesarini; 5 great grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren expected in July. She is preceded in death by one sister, Sharon Kurtz and one brother, Gene Rampmeyer.

     Funeral services will be held at 1 pm on Sunday, December 23rd, at the Denton Church of The Nazarene located at 10660 on Greensboro Road in Denton where friends may visit from 12 until 1 before the service. The memorial interment will be private. Pastor Paul Merritt will officiate.
