Addilyn Faith "Didi" Flaherty

     Addilyn Faith Flaherty of Easton, MD, went to heaven on Thursday, July 9, 2026. She was 8 years old.

Addilyn (Didi) was a gift. Using no words, Addie taught by example how to trust and love. How to have joy in suffering. Although she couldn’t see or walk, she loved to kick her legs like she was running and would wait to hear us say, “Run your race Didi!”.

After 8 years of physical suffering, Addie finished her race. She loved her Daddy so much, she could only make it 46 days after he went ahead to heaven to join him.

Sweet Didi, You did so well. We are so proud of you! We will miss you every moment until we see you again.

Addie is survived by her mother, Jessica Flaherty of Easton; 7 siblings: Kate Flaherty, Brittany Flaherty, Nathaniel Flaherty, Leah Flaherty, Norah Flaherty, Abigail Grace Flaherty, and Elizabeth Flaherty; her maternal grandmother, Nancy Braddee; her paternal grandmother, Sharon Flaherty; and her maternal grandfather, Doug Wooten (Roberta).

Friends may visit with the family from 5 to 7 on Tuesday, July 14th, at the Moore Funeral Home, P.A. located at 12 South Second Street in Denton, MD and also on Wednesday, July 15th, from 10 until 11 at St. Benedict’s Roman Catholic Church at 408 Central Avenue in Ridgely, MD where a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 am. The interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery near Greensboro, MD.
