Albert D. Baugus of Denton, MD, passed away at his home on Saturday, April 15, 2023. He was 79 years old.
Born in Fountain Green, MD on August 26, 1943, Mr. Baugus was the son of the late Dwight and Evon Baugus. He moved to Delta, PA in 1952 and graduated from Kennard-Dale High School in Fawn Grove, PA. He attended York Junior College and the University of Tennessee where he received a BS in Agronomy. A U.S. Navy veteran, Mr. Baugus moved to Greensboro, MD in 1974 and worked for Saulsbury Brothers of Ridgely, MD until 1996. He then worked for John Swain and Hanover Foods and then for Jim Fuchs with Valley Irrigation. On November 27, 1993, he married Wanda Good Baugus of Denton. A member of Grace Baptist Church in Hurlock, MD, he had been an active church member throughout his life following in the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Baugus is survived by two sons: Brian Baugus (Ildiko) of Chesapeake, VA and Bruce Baugus (Tricia) of Grand Rapids, MI; a stepson, Chris Hammer of Denton; a brother, Alec Baugus of Ephrata, PA; and six grandchildren: Samantha Baugus (Jonathan Kershaw), Jackson Baugus, Adam Baugus, Mariska Baugus, Nathanael Baugus (Naomi and their child, Ingrid), and Bryant Baugus.
A funeral service will be held at 1 PM on Thursday, April 20th at the Moore Funeral Home, P.A. located at 12 S. Second Street in Denton where friends may call from 12 until 1 before the service. The interment will follow in the Denton Cemetery.
