Allyson Lynn Gardner passed away peacefully on April 27, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of quiet strength, compassion, and unwavering devotion to those she loved.
Quick to lend a hand and slow to complain, Allyson was a steady and thoughtful presence in the lives of those around her. Fiercely protective of her family, friends, and those in her care, she encouraged others to be their best and met life’s challenges with determination and grace. Her strength of will allowed her to persevere through adversity, rarely allowing obstacles to stand in her way.
Allyson’s faith provided her with strength, peace, and perspective. She loved her church family and worshipped in several congregations over the years, finding comfort in fellowship and participation in church life. Her devotion grounded her, and it was through her faith that she found a deep and abiding sense of peace.
As an ABO Certified Licensed Optician, Allyson devoted nearly 30 years to her career with the same care and dedication she showed in her personal life. A graduate of Immaculata University (Class of 1994), she was known for her exceptional customer service, treating every individual with kindness, patience, and genuine attention—qualities that left a lasting impression on all. She brought steadiness to those around her and left people better than she found them—not through grand gestures, but through consistent care, presence, and sincerity.
She had a warm and generous spirit that she expressed in thoughtful and personal ways. She loved baking for birthdays and celebrations, making others feel seen and appreciated. The holidays held a special place in her heart—especially Christmas and Halloween—which she embraced with joy, creativity, and enthusiasm. She found comfort and enjoyment in life’s simple pleasures, including her favorite shows and music. Her greatest joy came from her beloved nephews, Xavier and Alexander, whom she adored beyond measure. She poured her love, energy, and pride into their lives, celebrating their milestones and supporting them in every way she could. They were a constant source of happiness and purpose, and her love for them was one of the defining forces of her life.
She is survived by her loving mother, Leatha Gardner of Hillsboro, MD; her brother, Jason Gardner of New Market, MD; her nephews, Xavier and Alexander; and a wide circle of family, friends, and colleagues whose lives she touched so meaningfully.
She was preceded in death by her father, Dr. Hilliard “Doc” Gardner, just two days prior. Together, may they rest in eternal peace.
