Andrew Monroe Seth, Sr.

     Andrew M. Seth, Sr. of Wilmington, DE, son of the late Clarence and Emma Thomas Seth, departed this life on Thursday, January 26, 2023, at the Wilmington Christiana Care Hospital in Wilmington, DE. He was 86 years old.

     Born in Denton, MD on Dec. 7, 1936, Andrew received his education in the Caroline County Public Schools in Denton. He married the late Gloria Butler on September 4, 1998. He worked construction and was a member of Teamsters Local 413. He loved to grow in the garden, especially tomatoes.

     Andrew leaves to cherish his memory his three daughters: Velma G. Tilghman, Charlene O. Seth, and Darline P. Mays; three sons: Andrew Seth, Jr., Dale Seth, and Maurice Seth; 11 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; three sisters: Beatrice Rich (Enoch Rich), Doris Butler, and Mary Hurling; two sisters-in-law, Willa Seth and Josephine Seth; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.

     Andrew was preceded in death by his wife, Gloria Seth; mother and father, Clarence and Emma Seth; two sisters, Lucille Brown and Irene Drummond; five brothers: Archie, Clarence, Jr., Maurice, Roland Leon, and Allen Seth, Sr.; and two grandchildren, Sylvester Seth, Jr. and Joseph Cordell Seth.

     A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, February 4th, at the Moore Funeral Home, P.A. located at 12 South Second Street where friends may visit with the family from 10 until 11 before the service. The interment will be in the Spring Grove Cemetery located on Crystal Avenue in Denton.
