Arthur George Hoffman, Jr. “Bud” of Bridgeville, DE, quietly passed away on Saturday, April 9, 2022, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was 83 years old.
Born in Baltimore, MD, Mr. Hoffman was the son of the late Arthur George Hoffman, Sr., and Eleanor Valina Tucker Hoffman. He was a 1957 graduate of Catonsville, MD High School. Mr. Hoffman served in the U.S. Coast Guard Reserve for eight years. He moved to Ridgely, MD in 1980 and retired from Key Impact Sales in 2005 when he moved to Florida and moved back to Delmarva in 2007.
Mr. Hoffman is survived by his wife of 64 years, Carol Lynn Hoffman of Bridgeville; five daughters: Pamela J. Proud (James) of Elk Creek, VA, Robin L. Nhem of Seaford, DE, Kimberly D. Hoffman-Goodson (Michael) of Ball Ground, GA, Jodi Stewart (Michael) of Yellow Spring, WV, and Jennifer K. Southard (Jay) of Seaford, DE; three brothers: Roland Hoffman of Bethany, DE, Robert G. Hoffman of Centreville, MD, and Edward H. Hoffman of Virginia Beach, VA; 28 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.
A Masonic service will be held at 11 am, immediately followed by a funeral service, on Tuesday, April 12th, at the Moore Funeral Home, P.A. in Denton. Friends and family may call one hour before the service. The interment will be in the Bloomery Cemetery in Smithville.
