Barbara Jean Reed

     Barbara Jean Reed of Ridgely, MD, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, June 6, 2021 with her loving family at her side. She was 72 years old.

     Born in Baltimore, MD, Mrs. Reed was the daughter of the late Francis Michael Haas and Bessie R. Riesett Haas. Her husband, Gregory A. Reed, Sr., died June 8, 2012. Mrs. Reed was a 1967 graduate of the Arch Bishop Spalding High School in Baltimore. She was a Procurement Specialist for the Maryland Motor Vehicle Administration in Glen Burnie, MD, retiring in 2001. Her greatest joys in life were her grandchildren. She loved going to their sporting events and loved going with them to Disney World.

     Mrs. Reed is survived by her son, Gregory A. Reed, Jr. and his wife, Debbie, and their children, JordanLyn and Kyle, of Ridgely; two brothers, Michael A. Haas and his wife, Konnie, of Ridgely and Gary M. Haas of Ridgely; and a sister-in-law, Holly and her son, Brady, of Glen Burnie. She was recently predeceased by a brother, Frank C. Haas.

     A memorial service will be held at 4 PM on Friday, June 11th, at the Moore Funeral Home, P.A. located at 12 S. Second Street in Denton where friends may visit with the family from 3 until 4 before the service. The interment is private.
