Benjamin C. "Sonny" Trice

     Benjamin C. “Sonny” Trice of Greensboro, MD, passed away on Friday, January 12, 2024. He was 86 years old.

     Born in New York, NY on August 9, 1937, Sonny was the son of the late Benjamin Milton Trice and Marie Thelma Mills Trice. His wife, Phyllis Ann Trice, passed away on February 4, 2022.

     Sonny attended Caroline High School in Denton, MD and served in the U.S. Navy from 1955 until 1958. He became a freight truck driver, retiring in 2013 out of Bradway Trucking in Vineland, NJ.

     Sonny is survived by a daughter, Brenda Marie Trice of Denton; two grandchildren, Shelly Darling and Teresa Trice, both of Denton; two step-grandchildren, Robert Coventry (Danielle) of Church Hill, MD and Emily Coventry of Church Hill; and five great grandchildren: Aviana, Anzara, Ava, Carley, and Kayley. He was predeceased by a brother, Wm. Roger Trice, and a great granddaughter, Nova.

     A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 19th, at 10:45 am at the Moore Funeral Home, P.A. located at 12 South Second Street in Denton where friends may visit with the family from 10 until 10:45 before the service. The interment will be in the MD Eastern Shore Veterans Cemetery near Hurlock, MD.
