Betty Lou Schall

Betty Lou Schall (Ruth) of Denton, Maryland, passed on Friday, February 7, 2025, at the Baltimore Washington Hospital in Glen Burnie. She was 69 years old.

Born on July 18, 1955, in Easton, MD, she was the daughter of the late John Wesley Ruth, Sr., and Anna Kathryn Hoxter Ruth.  Betty grew up in Grasonville, Maryland. She graduated from QACHS in 1973. Betty spent most of her life cooking at Harrisons Chesapeake House in Tilghman, MD. Over the decades while working there she made lifelong friendships.

Betty is survived by her daughter, Rachel Jump (Mike); nieces: Sherrie Davis (Dave), and Kathryn McAllister (Patrick); nephews: Jack Reed, III (Pam), and Jason Ruth (Gretchen); BFF, Becky Towers; Bonus Family Amy Larrimore; and best feline friend, Kitty “Smokey”. In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her loving husband, Raymond “Ray” Earl Schall; brother, Wesley Ruth, Jr; sister and brother-in-law, Lorraine and Jack, Jr. Reed.

A Celebration of Life will be Saturday March 1st, at Goldsboro Fire Department from 12-3.
