Bonnie Sue Hubbard Dill Obituary

With broken hearts, we announce the passing of our cherished Bonnie Sue Hubbard Dill – devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sibling, and friend. She went home on Sunday, November 2, 2025.

Born at home in Denton, Maryland, on Saturday, April 17, 1943, Bonnie was the daughter of the late Dawson and Alice Robinson Hubbard. She married Joseph “Benny” Dill on Friday, September 23, 1960.

She was the heart of our family. She poured her entire life into nurturing all those around her. Her quiet wisdom, patient guidance, and unconditional love and support shaped our lives and taught us the meaning of true love and integrity. Bonnie enjoyed listening to bluegrass music, watching her hummingbirds, baking, and especially hugging people. She was, and will always be, our guardian angel.

Bonnie leaves behind her devoted husband of 65 years, Benny Dill, sons Dennis (Missy) Dill of Goldsboro and Scott (Jenni) Dill of Denton. She is also survived by three grandchildren, Scotty Dill, Jordan (Amanda) Dill, and Katie (Mike) Dill. She also leaves six great-grandchildren – Kobie, Tyler, Brayden, Liam, Kerrigan, and Teighan. She is also survived by two siblings Randy (Brenda) Hubbard and Amy (Mike) Thetford as well as many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved grandchildren, Christopher Dill and Ashlyn Duprey. Siblings Myrna Dill, Buddy Hubbard, Gail Meredith, Carolyn Gainey, and Marty Hubbard also preceded her in death.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, November 7th, at the Moore Funeral Home, P.A., located at 12 S. Second Street in Denton, where friends may call from 12:00 until 1:00 pm before the service. The interment will be at Concord United Methodist Church Cemetery immediately following the services.
