C. Martin Voss of Wilmington, DE, formerly of Denton, MD, passed away on Sunday, November 12, 2022, at Gilpin Hall in Wilmington, DE after a prolonged illness. He was 60 years old.
Born in Easton, MD, Martin was the son of the late James Martin Nuttle Voss and Nancy Caskey Voss. He had graduated from North Caroline High School in Denton and Western Maryland College in Westminster, MD, where he was a member of the Phi Delta Theta fraternity. Martin was extremely friendly and outgoing, he never met a stranger. He spent many years working in Hospitality for restaurants in Baltimore, Rehoboth Beach, New York, Las Vegas and Atlanta, GA. Martin also enjoyed golfing and acting.
Martin is survived by a sister, Martha V. Smith (Rupert) of Ocean View, DE; two brothers, J. Michael Voss of Denton, and Mashood Issaka of South Sudan; two nieces, Caroline Panzer (Joe) of Dagsboro, DE and Amina Benyoussef of Berwyn Hts., MD. He was preceded in death by a sister, Margaret Nuttle Voss. Martin will be missed by the many close family and friends that he gathered along the way.
A memorial service will be held at 12:30 PM on Saturday, November 26th, at the Moore Funeral Home, P.A. located at 12 South Second Street in Denton where friends may call from 11:30 to 12:30 before the service. The interment will be in the Denton Cemetery.
