Carlton Robert Seward, Jr. of Denton, MD, also known as Bob or “Sudsy”, passed away on Friday, January 31, 2020, at the U of MD Shore Medical Center at Easton, MD. He was 72 years old.
Born in Milford, DE on November 11, 1947, Mr. Seward was the son of the late Carlton Robert Seward, Sr. and Lelia Passwaters Seward. He grew up on a farm in Hobbs and was a 1966 graduate of North Caroline High School. Mr. Seward worked at E.I.DuPont Nylon Plant in Seaford, DE for 38 years, retiring in 2004. He liked to hunt, fish and watch his children play sports and was actively involved with the Denton Lions Club for over 25 years. He also belonged to the Caroline Moose and then the Harrington Moose, social member of the American Legion Caroline Post 29 and had also been a member of the Po Boys Yacht Club.
Mr. Seward is survived by his wife Carol B. Seward of Denton; a daughter, Stacy M. Seward; a son, James B. Seward and his wife Jessica; and two grandchildren, Jake and Jax.
Funeral services will be held at 12 Noon on Wednesday, February 5th, at the Moore Funeral Home, P.A. located at 12 South Second Street in Denton where friends may call from 6 until 8 on Tuesday evening. The interment will be in the Bloomery Cemetery in Smithville, MD.
