Daniel B. Rampmeyer, Sr., of Ridgely, Maryland passed away at his home on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. He was 71 years old.
Born in Easton, MD, on February 22, 1955, he was the son of the late Charles Raymond Rampmeyer and Patricia Jean Nashold Rampmeyer. A lifelong resident of the Eastern Shore, Danny was an avid outdoorsman.
Danny found his greatest joy in sharing his passions with his family: hunting, fishing, mountain vacations, and all things outdoors. After hunting season, he could often be found walking the woods in search of deer sheds, and when spring arrived, he was back on the water fishing and crabbing.
Danny also loved working on antique engines, restoring Cub Cadet tractors, and collecting old local milk bottles preserving the history of the area.
His deep love for the outdoors was reflected throughout his career as a well driller, waterman, and later as a heavy equipment operator, where he worked alongside his son in construction.
Daniel is survived by his wife of 47 years, Barbara Rampmeyer, two sons, Brent Rampmeyer, Jr. (Karissa) and Chris Hulliger; a daughter, Bonnie Debord (Vince); and three grandchildren, Gavin, Ashley, and Mia. He is also survived by two brothers and two sisters.
Friends and family are invited to visit on Thursday, April 16, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Moore Funeral Home, P.A. located at 12 S. 2nd St. Denton. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, April 17. Burial will follow the service at Greensboro Cemetery.
