Deborah G. Smullin of Denton, MD, passed away on Tuesday, December 20, 2022 at the University of MD Shore Medical Center at Easton, MD. She was 71 years old.
Born in Baltimore, MD on January 24, 1951, Mrs. Smullin was the daughter of the late Emory Lee Staton, Sr., and Dorothy Elizabeth Weikle Staton. She had lived in Denton since 1980 and had worked in the Wesleyan Nursing Home in Denton as a cook. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
Mrs. Smullin is survived by her daughter with whom she lived, Robin E. Smullin of Denton; a brother, William P. Staton of Ft. Walton Beach, FL; four grandchildren: Gabriel Smullin, Tandy Board, William Board, and Jasmine Board; and a great grandson, Jaxson Board. She was preceded in death by her husband, Philip Q. Smullin, Sr.; her son, Philip Q. Smullin, Jr.; two brothers, Benjamin E. Staton and Emory Lee Staton, Jr.; and her sister, Charlene Y. Alley.
A viewing visitation will be on Wednesday, December 28th, from 1pm to 2pm at the Moore Funeral Home, P.A. located at 12 S. Second Street in Denton. This will be followed by a brief prayer service at 2pm at the funeral home. The interment will be private.
