Della M. Russum

Della M. Russum of Greensboro, MD passed away on Thursday, March 12, 2026, at her home.  She was 77 years old. 

     Born in Easton, MD on March 29, 1948, Mrs. Russum was the daughter of the late Ralph Harry Corkell and Beatrice Naomi Carter Corkell.  Her husband, James O. Russum, passed away on June 30, 2018.  She was a homemaker who dearly loved and cared for her family.  

     Mrs. Russum is survived by her son, Nelson H. Russum of Greensboro; two sisters: Phyllis Towers and Joyce Carter (Donald); two aunts: Rachel Hitchens and Pauline Dulin; an uncle, Sonny Kenton; a sister-in-law, Donna Lee Jump; a brother-in-law, William Russum; two nieces: Dawn and Missy; and seven nephews: John, Wesley, Jeffrey, Theodore, Allen, Johnny, and Robert; and her beloved labrador, Yeller. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Robinson, and a nephew, Brian Carter.

     Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Thursday, March 19th, at the Moore Funeral Home, P.A. located at 12 S. Second Street in Denton where friends may call from 10 until 11 before the service.  The interment will follow in the Greensboro Cemetery in Greensboro, MD.
