Dennis E. Tucker of Denton, Maryland, passed away on Saturday, July 18, 2026, at the University of Maryland Shore Medical Center at Easton, surrounded by his family. He was 77.
Born in Washington, D.C., on September 13, 1948, Dennis was the son of the late Herbert Alphonse Tucker and Geraldine Struble Tucker. He graduated from Montgomery Blair High School in Silver Spring, Maryland, in 1966 and retired from the Naval Surface Warfare Center in Indian Head, Maryland.
Dennis was an avid boater and fisherman who loved spending time on the water. He also enjoyed traveling, was a competitive match shooter, loved tinkering and working around his home as well as baking for the holidays. Above all, he was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who cherished his family.
Dennis is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Rosanna Lea Tucker of Denton; his son, Todd B. Tucker and his wife, Michelle, of Denton; his daughter-in-law, Jennifer Tucker; his brother, Gerald A. Tucker; his sister, Mary C. Russell; six grandchildren, Cole Tucker, Jordan Cerny, Carson Tucker, Hunter Bahr, Hannah Tucker, and Benjamin Tucker; and three great-grandchildren, Rhett Tucker, Ridge Tucker, and Porter Cerny. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Craig E. Tucker, his sisters Dawn Mathews, Jeanne Fenner, and Herbert Tucker III.
A Memorial Visitation with the family will be held from 12:00 noon until 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 29, at Moore Funeral Home, P.A., 12 South Second Street, Denton, Maryland.
