Dora Renate Williams

Dora Renate Williams, 97, of Ridgely, MD passed away on Thursday, June 22, 2023, at Compass Regional Hospice in Centreville. She was greeted in Heaven by her husband, Gordon C. Williams and her faithful canine companions: Peaches and Ginger.

Mrs. Williams was born in Germany on January 21, 1926, to the late Ernst Kuenast and Olga Wagner Kuenast. She moved to the United States in 1939. Dora proudly and faithfully worked for the military newspaper, Army Air Force and Navy Times; first in Frankfurt, then transferred to their New York office in 1955, and finally in 1962 after she married, Dora transferred to the office in Washington, D.C.

Dora is survived by her sister, Margaret Blair; cousin, Louise Moritz (Frederick); stepdaughter, Sarah “Kathy” Spark (John); many family members in Germany; as well as Dora's second family, the Blazejaks: Aaron, Marcy, and Lexi.

Services are private.
