Doris I. Edgar of Denton, MD, formerly of Rehoboth, DE, passed away on Tuesday, January 18th, at the Peak Healthcare of Denton. She was 93 years old.
Born in Cambridge, MD, Ms. Edgar was the daughter of the late Julian Calvert Edgar and Mabel Paul Edgar. She had studied as a student at Walter Reed Hospital. She became Supervisor of the Nuclear Medical Research at Cornell University in New York. She retired in the early 1980’s.
Ms. Edgar is survived by a sister, Betty Detwiler of Denton and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her long-time companion, Richard Bodenweiser; three sisters: Edith Harding, Marie Braswell, and Myrtle Milligan; a brother, Julian Edgar, Jr.; and her dog, Jetty.
A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, January 25th, at the Moore Funeral Home, P.A. located at 12 S. Second Street in Denton where friends may call from 10 until 11 before the service. The interment will follow in the Unity Washington Cemetery in Hurlock, MD.
