Doris L. Usilton

Doris L. Usilton passed away on Friday, April 7, 2023, surrounded by her family in Denton, Maryland. She was 72 years old.

Born January 19, 1951, at home in Denton, MD, Doris was the daughter of the late John Wesley Corkell, Jr. and Katherine Regina Lahman Corkell. She was a loving wife to her husband, Thomas T. Usilton, Sr. up to and beyond his passing in November of 2020. Doris’s hobbies included spending time with family and friends. She loved to go out dancing and always had a smile on her face. She was a member of Harrington Moose Lodge and Chesapeake Classic Car Club. Doris and Tommy were always attending car shows together and enjoyed taking their classic cars around town. Before Tom’s health declined, they both loved traveling in their RV. She enjoyed working as a Pharmacy tech for many years and then she and Tom owned and operated Usilton’s Tire and Auto in Denton, MD.

Mrs. Usilton is survived by her daughter, Buffy Morris (Kevin) of Denton; son, Thomas T. Usilton, Jr. of Denton; four grandchildren: Chelsea (Zach), Tyler (Amanda), Jessie, and Brittany, and eleven great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by grandson, Thomas T. Usilton, III; two sisters, and one brother.

There will be a visitation Wednesday, April 12, 2023, from 5-7 PM and Thursday, April 13, 2023, from 10-11 AM at the Moore Funeral Home, P.A. located 12 S. 2nd St. Denton, MD 21629. The funeral service will be Thursday, April 13, 2023, at 11 AM from the Moore Funeral Home, P.A.
