Obituary
Dorothy “Dottie” Lee Rizo of Easton, Maryland passed away on August 30, 2023, at the UM Shore Medical Center at Cambridge. She was 75 years old.
Born in Easton on January 9, 1948, Dottie was the daughter of the late Herbert Lee Jones, Sr. and Lillian Erma Haddaway Jones. She had worked for Black & Decker until their closure. Dottie was a devoted mother, grandmother, and sister. Dorothy’s favorite things were fishing, crabbing, and hunting. She loved going to Texas to visit her family and friends.
Dottie is survived by her two sons: Brian Reckitt and Joe Reckitt; two grandchildren: Clay Reckitt and Marisa Reckitt; and her brother, Herb Jones. In addition to her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Arron Rizo.
The family will host a celebration of Dottie’s life at the Easton VFW Post 5118 located 355 Glebe Rd, Easton, MD 21601, on Saturday, October 28, 2023, from 1 to 4 PM. If friends wish to donate in memory of Dorothy, the family suggests donations to Alzheimer’s Association P.O. Box 96011 Washington, D.C. 20090.
