William H. “Bill” Dickson, DDS of Greensboro, MD, passed away Wednesday, March 14, 2018, at the Compass Regional Hospice in Centreville, MD. He was 87 years old.
Born in Boston, MA, Dr. Dickson was the son of the late Thomas J. Dickson and Catherine McGowan Dickson. His wife, Katherine M. Dickson, died November 22, 2014. A U.S. Navy veteran, Dr. Dickson had been a Dentist in the service and privately before he became a Health Inspector for Queen Anne’s County. He loved boats, cars, reading, languages, music, and Scottish history. But, most of all, he loved his family.
Dr. Dickson is survived by two daughters, Katherine Arnold (Brice) of Preston, MD and Jennifer Dickson (Ari Mechles); a son: Thomas Dickson (Naoko Nishi) of Jersey City, NJ; and six grandchildren: Samuel, Natalie, Rowan, Alec, Ezra, and Elan. He was preceded in death by two brothers: Charles Dickson and Leonard Dickson.
A memorial service will be held at 1 PM on Friday, March 16th, in the Chapel at the Eastern Shore Veteran’s Cemetery near Hurlock, MD.
