Edgar Lee “Tinker” Todd, Jr., of Denton, Maryland, passed away on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, at the Shore Medical Center in Easton, MD. He was 90 years old.
Born in Ridgely, MD on April 30, 1935, he was the son of the late Edgar Lee Todd, Sr. and Lottie Evelyn Stevens Todd. He was a 1953 graduate of the Greensboro High School before entering the U.S. Coast Guard where he served from 1953 until 1957. He retired June 30, 1990, after 33 years of employment with the U.S. Soil Conservation Service in Caroline County. In addition, he was a well-known scholastic referee in the mid-shore area. He also umpired many levels of baseball from Little League to High School and also played men’s softball for many years in local leagues.
Mr. Todd is survived by his wife, Gene L. Todd of Denton; three children: Kim Todd (Charles Gustin) of Denton, David Todd (Constance) of Murrells Inlet, SC, and Alex Todd (Elizabeth) of Trappe, MD; and three grandchildren: Kristin Todd, Emilie Todd, and Branton Todd.
Friends may visit with the family from 10 until 11AM on Tuesday, September 30th, at the Moore Funeral Home, P.A. 12 S. 2nd St. Denton, MD. The service follows at 11AM. The interment is in the Denton Cemetery.
