Edward D. Rehbein, Sr. of Preston, MD, passed away on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, after a brief illness. He was 79 years old.
Born in Courtland, NY, Mr. Rehbein was the son of the late Henry Thomas Rehbein and Mabel Winfield Rehbein. He graduated from the Courtland, NY High School and served in the U.S. Air Force. He and his family moved to Maryland in 1988. He worked for Black and Decker in Easton until he retired in 2012. While he loved to play golf and bowl, his greatest loves were his grandchildren and his children and their families. He was a wonderful father and grandfather.
Mr. Rehbein is survived by four daughters: Carri Anne Hotsko (Ian) of Easton, MD, Dierdre Bildstein (Joseph) of Ridgely, MD, Laura Willey (Jason) of Seaford, DE, and Jaime Butler (Jordan) of Preston; nine grandchildren: Allison Chmielewski (Shane), Nathan Hotsko (Emily), Jessica Hotsko, Joseph Bildstein (Grace), Daniel Bildstein, Mason Willey, Jocelyn Willey, Christian Butler, and Chelsea Butler; and four great grandchildren: Destiny, Chase, Landon, and Noah; two sisters: Kathy Robinson (Mark) and Cindy O’Donnell (John); and two brothers: Lauren Rehbein and Phil Rehbein (Susan). He was preceded in death by his wife, Dawn L. Rehbein, a son, Edward D. Rehbein, Jr., a sister, Merilyn Brown, and two brothers: Thomas Rehbein and Art Rehbein.
A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Monday, March 3rd, at the Moore Funeral Home, P.A. located at 12 South Second Street in Denton where friends may call from 4 until 6 on Sunday evening. The interment will be in Denton Cemetery.
