Elizabeth “Betsy” Lillian Wood of Denton, Maryland, passed away on Thursday, February 6, 2025, at the UMSMC of Easton. She was 82 years old.
Born in Upland, PA, on March 29, 1942, she was the daughter of the late George Leonard Crosgrove and Anna Whalen Bergdoll Crosgrove. Betsy graduated from Chichester High School in 1960. She studied art for 2 years at Kutztown State College and one year at Moore College of Art and Design.
Growing up, Betsy and her family would spend summers at their house in Williston, where she would eventually meet her future husband, Kenny. They married on January 25,1963 and celebrated 62 wonderful years together.
Besty took pride in being an early childhood educator before becoming a homemaker. She also helped her husband get his well drilling business established by being the secretary for the first few years. There wasn’t much Betsy did not love but some of her greatest loves were painting, crafting, gardening, dogs, horses, cooking, and sunsets. However, the most important things in her life were her love and devotion to God and her family.
