Ellenore (Elle) Irene VanDerZee of Denton, MD, formerly of Ocala, FL, passed away on January 20th at the Caroline Nursing Home in Denton where she received tender loving care. She was 87 years old.
Mrs. VanDerZee, a native of New York, was the daughter of the late Michael Joseph Bitalvo and Frida Julia Hutter Bitalvo Karl. She was preceded in death by her husband, Allan VanDerZee, her daughter, Deborah Kasprowicz, and her son, David Allan VanDerZee.
Mrs.VanDerZee worked in the auto industry with her husband. She loved to read and garden and had a lifelong love of animals. She was a member of the Presbyterian Countryside Church in Ocala.
Elle is survived by a granddaughter, Emily McCabe of Fort Worth, Texas; a brother-in-law, George Sebestyen of McLean, Virginia; five nieces, Anne Fountain (Paul) of Denton, Maryland; Jeanne Ellis (Robert) of Mercer Island, Washington; Pamela Sebestyen (Kevin) of Vacaville, California; Linda DeLaTorre of Highland, New York; and Karen Kramer of New York; two nephews, Stephen Sebestyen of Ashburn, Virginia; Peter Sebestyen (Susan) of Golden, Colorado; and many grandnieces and grandnephews, as well as a few greatgrands. Elle also leaves behind many friends in Florida, and her best-ever roommate, Mary Ann Jones.
A graveside memorial service will be held in the Lakeview Cemetery in Skaneateles, NY at a later date.
