Ernest Edwards

Ernest Edwards of Ridgely, Maryland passed away on Tuesday, May 2, 2023, at the Anne Arundel Medical Center in Annapolis. He was 88 years old.

Born in Grangeburg, AL on December 31, 1934, Ernest was the son of the late Ira and Ida Edwards. After graduating high school, Mr. Edwards joined the Air Force and proudly served his country for 20 years before retiring. In 1973, Ernest married the love of his life, Betty J. Edwards. He was an avid target shooter, loved camping and traveling. Most of all he loved his family.

Ernest is survived by his daughter, Therisa Kellenbenz (Roger) of Ridgely; two sons: Jim Proud (Pam) of Elk Creek, VA, and Glenn Proud (Jessica) of Myock, NC; many loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and two sisters: Donna and Chris. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty J. Edwards, who passed on April 30, 2018.
