Frances A. Baynard of Denton, MD, passed away Monday, March 6, 2023, at TidalHealth Nanticoke, Seaford, DE. She was 90 years old.
Born on May 3, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Charles Terry Alburger and Anna Viola Clark Taylor.
Franny graduated from Caroline High in 1949 and married her high school sweetheart, Clarence Baynard. Together they raised four children. She was an exceptional loving mother and role model for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Baynard spent her working career with the Caroline County Assessment Office. After C.E. Baynard and Sons was established in 1964, Franny was an instrumental part in the financial end of the family business. She was a member of the Caroline County AARP and Thawley’s Chapel.
Mrs. Baynard is survived by her four children: Robert D. Baynard (Linda) of Federalsburg, MD, Jacqueline B. Butler (Ray) of The Villages, FL, Guy E. Baynard (Barb) and Terry B. Lord (Rick) all of Denton, MD; six grandchildren: Becky Kish (Donovan), Casey Duld (Charles), Kristin Lord-Buchanan (Brittany), Hunter Baynard, Michelle Wood (Chris), Ray Butler, Jr. (Jaytawn); thirteen great-grandchildren: Reed Kish, Allan Blessing, Jr., Kaitlin Butler, Madison Butler, Jacob Butler, Dylan Butler, and C.J. Wood, Camryn Duld, Chandler Duld, Luca Lord-Buchanan, Drew Lord-Buchanan, Eden Wood, and Karson Hollingsworth; and a sister Phyllis Towers. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her grandchildren: Kelly L. Shockley and Brad Butler.

There will be a funeral service at 11:00 AM on Monday, March 13, 2023, at Moore Funeral Home, P.A., 12 South Second Street in Denton where friends may call the hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Denton Cemetery.
