Glenna P. Miller of Denton, MD, passed away on Saturday, March 2, 2019, at the Homestead Manor in Denton. She was 87 years old.
Born in Oakland, CA on September 29, 1931, Mrs. Miller was the daughter of the late Glenn David Peasley and Martha May Winterer. She had been a secretary for the Fairfax County Police Department in Virginia for many years, retiring in 1993. She and her husband of 69 years, Vincent L. Miller, also of Denton, moved to Assateague Point near Berlin, MD and then moved to Denton in 2017. In addition to loving to travel with her husband, she was an accomplished seamstress and was an avid collector of crystal, ceramic, stuffed bears and lighthouse models.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Miller is survived by three sons: Stephen V. Miller (Terry) of Alexandria, VA, Timothy A. Miller (Nancy) of Huntsville, AL, and Christopher G. Miller of Burkeville, VA; one daughter, Karen E. Regis (Kirk) of Zebulon, NC; 11 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister, Edith Lange; a brother, Doug Peasley; and a grandchild.
A Celebration of Mrs. Miller’s life will be held at the Heritage Community Room of the Wesleyan Center in Denton, 425 Colonial Drive, 21629, at one o’clock on Saturday, March 9th where the family will be greeting friends one hour prior to the service.
