Harry A. Susini

     Harry A. Susini of Preston passed away on Friday, December 9, 2022, at Peak Healthcare Denton. He was 90 years old.

     Mr. Susini was born June 7, 1932, to the late Harry M. Susini and Theresa (Tessie) R. Matarozzi Susini. As a teenager, Harry worked at the Laurel Diner for his father and his Uncle Walt. After skipping grades and graduating early from Laurel High School, he received his B.A. from the University of Maryland in 1948. A US Navy veteran, he was an avid, intelligent investor and owned Susini Insurance and Susini Real Estate in Laurel. Harry absolutely loved dancing with his wife and enjoyed boating and fishing as well as being an avid basketball player.

     Harry is survived by his wife, Ruth S. Susini, his daughter, Sandra E. Hathaway; two grandchildren: Wade A. Susini (Erica) and Dawn Susini Wallis (James); four great-grandchildren: Vincent Wallis, Sebastian Susini, Sonny Susini, and Scarlett Susini; and a daughter-in-law, Debbie Susini. Mr. Susini was preceded in death by his son, Walter A. Susini.

     Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 13, 2022, at 11AM from the Moore Funeral Home, P.A. located 12 S. 2nd St. Denton. Friends are invited to visit with the family from 10-11AM before the service. The burial will be at 1:30 PM in the St. Mary’s of the Mills Cemetery located at 114 St. Mary’s Pl. in Laurel, MD 20707.
