Helen Mae Lord of Denton and Greensboro, MD, passed away at the Denton Nursing and Rehabilitation on Saturday, December 7, 2024. She was 91 years old.
Born in Easton, MD on June 5, 1933, Mrs. Lord was the daughter of the late Henry Franklin Jester and Florence Edith Marine Jester. Her husband, Dallas G. Lord, passed away July 3, 1999.
Mrs. Lord grew up in Federalsburg, MD and lived her entire life in Caroline County. She was the cafeteria manager at Lockerman Middle School for 15 years, retiring in 1997. She was a member of the Caroline County, State of Maryland, and Federal Food Associations. A wonderful mother and grandmother, she had a great sense of humor and will be dearly missed by her family. Mrs. Lord is survived by one son, D. Gregory Lord (Beth) of Denton; Three daughters: Brenda Jean Rostien (Jay) of Seaford, DE, Debra Lynne Lord of Bridgeville, DE, and Kimberly Dawn Taylor (Alvin) of Greensboro; six grandchildren: Erika Fenske (Ryan), Ryan Taylor (Kelsea), Rusty Rostien, Erin Johnson (Wilbert), Justin Lord (Amanda), and Ashley Koeneman (Mak); great grandchildren: Lark, Ronan, Ava, Julia, Dylan, Morgan, Jayden, Logan, Lillian, Dallas, Gary, and Tommy; and her two cats, Henry Mae and Buddy, and her dog, Gladys.. She was preceded in death by all of her siblings.
A funeral service will be held at 1 PM with friends calling from 12 until 1 before the service on Tuesday, December 10th, at the Moore Funeral Home, P.A. located at 12 South Second Street in Denton. The interment will follow the service in the Concord Cemetery.
