J. Gary Cox

J. Gary Cox of Federalsburg, Maryland passed away suddenly on Monday, January 1, 2024, in Johns Hopkins Bayview Hospital, Baltimore, MD. He was 77 years old.

Mr. Cox was born March 1, 1946, in Easton, MD. He was the son of the late William James Cox and Audrey Myrtle Smith Cox.

Gary was a North Caroline High School graduate, Class of 1965. He was a farmer, having lived his entire life on the same farm near Concord. Gary, a man of few words, was well liked by all who knew him. He was a member of the Concord United Methodist Church.

Mr. Cox is survived by his cousin, John W. Todd and his wife Jackie of Preston, MD. In addition to his parents, Gary was preceded in death by a sister, Audrey Elnora Cox, age 2, and a brother, William Dale Cox.

Services will be 11 AM on Tuesday, January 9, 2024, at Moore Funeral Home, P.A. 12 S. 2nd St. Denton, MD. Friends may call one hour before the service.

Burial will follow in Concord Cemetery 7112 Dion Rd. Federalsburg, MD 21632.
