James Barry, Jr. Obituary

     James Barry, Jr. of Denton, MD, passed away at the Kent Hospice in Chestertown on Tuesday, August 10, 2021. He was 77 years old.

     Born in Baltimore, MD in 1944, Mr. Barry was the son of the late James Barry, Sr. and Carolyn Bentz Barry. His wife, Julia Butler Barry passed away June 6, 2020. Mr. Barry worked for A&P as a manager in Denton and Easton for many years before he retired. He liked fishing, camping, and watching TV. Most of all, he was a great husband, father, and grandfather. Mr. Barry is survived by one son: James Patrick (J.P.) Barry of Denton; two daughters: Deanna “Dee” Fleetwood (John) of Brandywine and Kimberly Goodwin (Greg) of Seaford, DE ; two stepsons: Michael Patrick Faulkner (Cindy) of Henderson, MD and George Edmund Vincent (Crystal) of Harrington, DE; one brother, Danny Barry, and two sisters: Linda Barry and Joyce Miller; ten grandchildren: Christopher Michael Faulkner, Katie Lynne Faulkner, Alison R. Vincent, Brooke F. Larrimore, Makenzi Fleetwood, Jessica Fleetwod, Taylor Fleetwood, John G. Fleetwood III, Lance Cawley, and Jennifer Tomar; and seven great grandchildren: Mason, Skyler, Riley, Jet, Remi, Lily, and Aiden; as well as multiple nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by five brothers and sisters: Patricia Tasker, Charlotte Cavey, Paul Barry, John Devine, and Carolyn Barry.

     A graveside service will be held at 11 am on Monday, August 16th, in the Woodlawn Memorial Park on Rt. 50 near Easton. If friends wish to send memorial donations the family requests for donations to be sent to the Moore Funeral Home, P.A., 12 S. Second Street, Denton, MD 21629.
