James “Jimmy” E. Gollick, Sr. of Ridgely, MD, passed away on Tuesday, January 2, 2023, at the University of MD Shore Medical Center at Easton, MD. He was 74 years old.
Born in Baltimore, MD on August 16, 1948, Mr. Gollick was the son of the late William Henry Gollick and Sara Ellen Petenbrink-Gollick. His wife, Catherine L. Gollick, passed away on July 3, 2016.
Mr. Gollick was an independent, self-employed truck driver who delivered freight all over the country. He loved fishing, camping, walking, gambling at the casinos and time with the family.
Mr. Gollick is survived by four daughters: Catherine Sniadach (Edward) of Federalsburg, MD, Regina Smith (Eric Bailey) of Ridgely, Melinda Hamilton (Carl) of Glen Burnie, and Carrie Lang (Marc) of Glen Burnie, one son, James Edward Gollick, Jr. (Santana) of Logan, WV; five brothers and sisters: Judy, Jean, Joyce, John, and Jerry; 19 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren. There are many many more family members. He was preceded in death by three siblings: Jack, Joe, and Janet.
There will be a viewing/visitation on Friday, January 6th, from 2 until 4 and from 6 until 8 at the Moore Funeral Home, P.A. located at 12 South Second Street in Denton, MD. Between 4 and 6, there will be refreshments at Gina Smith’s home. The interment is private.
