James Allen Ott, Sr.

     James Allen Ott, Sr. of Dover, DE, passed away at his home on Sunday, August 2, 2026. He was 77 years old.

     Born in Bethesda, MD, Mr. Ott was the son of the late Walter Kermit Ott and Anna Rosella Naugle Ott. He was a graduate of North Caroline High School near Ridgely, MD. He was an electric motor technician and worked for Roy’s Electric Service in Cheswold, DE for 50 years. Mr. Ott was a man who would help anyone who needed help. He loved working around his home. He also enjoyed camping, hiking, canoeing, and fishing.

     Mr. Ott is survived by his son, Stephen Ott of Denton, MD; two brothers, Brian Ott and Sydney Ott (Sandy); and two sisters, Brenda Hubbard (Randy) and Ruth Ann Callahan (Chuck).  He was preceded in death by a son, James Allen Ott, Jr.

     Memorial service will be private.
