Jean J. Clampitt of Denton, MD, passed away on Wednesday, July 30, 2025, at the UM Shore Medical Center at Easton, MD, she was 89 years old.
Born in Washington, DC, Mrs. Clampitt was the daughter of the late Clifford Francis Johncox and Vera Elaine Lacy Johncox.
Mrs. Clampitt and her husband moved to the town of Queen Anne from Anne Arundel County in 1974. They lived for thirty years in Queen Anne before moving to the Denton area. She enjoyed her swimming pool, horses, and agility training for dogs, especially collies. She was an accomplished artist and enjoyed various crafts such as basket weaving and working with stained glass.
Mrs. Clampitt is survived by her husband of 68 years, John H. Clampitt of Denton; three daughters: Linda C. Webb of Denton, Deborah Jean Pardoe (John) of Westminster, MD, and Carolyn E. Robertson (Vincent) of Lewes, DE; three sons: David Clampitt (Sue) of Little River, SC, Michael Clampitt (Melissa) of Lewes, DE, and Mark Clampitt (Jess) of Lewes, DE; a sister, Elaine Lacy Collins (Robert) of Denver, CO; thirteen grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.
The memorial services will be private.
