Joan Hagy Green of Easton, Maryland, died on Monday, May 26, 2025, at her home. She was 93 years old. Born in Philadelphia, PA, in 1931 Mrs. Green was the daughter of the late John Emerson Hagy and Virginia Lee Cooper Hagy.
During childhood, Joan Hagy resided with her parents in various East Coast locations. Joan graduated from Hatboro High School (Pennsylvania) in 1949. She received her higher education at Grove City College (Pennsylvania), Goldey Beacom School of Business (Wilmington, DE), and the University of Delaware (Newark, DE).
A single professional woman for more than 38 years, Joan held administrative management positions in the fields of Religious Education, Law, Banking, and Corporate Pharmaceutical Reporting.
In 1989, Joan married Joseph Hugh Green and became resident at Shamrock-on-Miles, Mr. Green’s home located on the Eastern Shore on Maryland. She was widowed in the year 2000, and in 2002, she moved to Londonderry Retirement Community of Easton, Inc.
During her early years, Joan’s personal interest was dedicated to her study of music. Throughout her adult life, she was deeply involved in the study and development of the Analytical Psychology Movement originally created by the Swiss Psychologist, Dr. Carl Gustav Jung.
In her final years, Mrs. Green came out of retirement to become Administrative Coordinator for Woolger International, an organization dedicated to eclectic spiritual teaching and training, with primary focus being placed upon Jungian Psychological concepts. Upon the death of Dr. Roger J. Woolger in 2011, Joan was recruited by Dr. Michael Conforti, prominent Jungian Psychoanalyst, to serve as consultant to Dr. Conforti and his Assisi Institute.
A graveside committal service will be held at 2:30 PM on Tuesday, June 10th, in the Denton Cemetery located at 24865 Meeting House Road in Denton, MD.
