Joel Lee Meredith, Jr.

     Joel Lee Meredith, Jr. of Denton, MD, passed away on Tuesday, June 14, 2022, at the Caroline Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Denton. He was 62 years old.

     Born in Easton Maryland, Mr. Meredith was the son of the late Joel Lee Meredith, Sr. of Waynesboro, TN, and the late Shirley Frances Anthony of Denton, MD. He was a 1977 graduate of North Caroline High School.

     In his younger years, Mr. Meredith enjoyed working for his grandparents at their Anthony Produce Stand on Greensboro Road near Denton. Throughout his life, he was employed in Security Operations in Caroline County, MD, and Traffic Control in Shipping and Receiving at Con Agra Plant. He enjoyed watching sports such as NASCAR, the Orioles, and was a huge Ravens fan.

     Mr. Meredith is survived by a son, Joel Lee Meredith, III (Kelli) of Salisbury, MD; a grandchild, Jocelyn Meredith; and three sisters: Karan Mullikin (Steve) of Easton, Susan Acord (Ben) of Greenwood, DE, and Jackie Coulby (Lee) of Denton. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Anthony D. Meredith.

     A funeral service will be held at 1 pm on Monday, June 20th, at the Moore Funeral Home, P.A. located at 12 South Second Street in Denton where friends may visit from 12 until 1 before the service. Pastor Buddy Dunn will officiate. The interment will be in the Denton Cemetery.
