John R. “Bobby” Gray of Denton, MD, passed away at his home on Tuesday, February 2, 2021. He was 70 years old.
Born in Annapolis, Mr. Gray was the son of the late Archibald Gray and Ella Ann Onderko Gray. His wife, Terry Anne Gray, passed away July 2, 2020. Mr. Gray was a 1970 graduate of Annapolis High School. He was a truck driver for Giant Foods from which he retired in 2008. He and his wife, Terry, had moved to Denton in 1996, where they established Rainbow Bridge Kennel and cared for rescue animals of all kinds. A great Dad and family man, he loved being with his grandchildren.
Mr. Gray is survived by his daughter, Tina M. Peck (Paul) of Severna Park; two sisters, Susan L. Schmalfuss (Richard) of Annapolis and Robin A. Duvall (Edward) of Edgewater; a brother, Douglas S. Gray of Edgewater; and three grandchildren: Connor, Kara, and Brendan. In addition to his parents and wife, he was predeceased in 2004 by a brother, James F. Gray, Sr.
A memorial celebration of Mr. Gray’s life will be announced later. If friends wish to send memorial donations in Mr. Gray’s memory, the family suggests sending them to Caroline County Humane Society, 407 W. Belle St. Ridgely, MD 21660.
