John Jump, Jr. Obituary

     John William Jump, Jr. of Federalsburg, MD, passed away at Mallard Landing Nursing and Rehabilitation in Cambridge, MD on Sunday, February 4, 2024. He was 76 years old.

     Born in Easton, MD on November 19, 1947, Mr. Jump was the son of the late John William Jump, Sr. and Dora Margaret States Jump. He grew up in Queen Anne’s County and was in the Army from 1966 until 1970. He was a self-employed truck driver until he took ill several years ago. He liked to watch professional wrestling and TV Westerns. But most of all, he was a wonderful and loving husband, father, and grandfather.

     Mr. Jump is survived by his wife of 53 years Donna Jump of Federalsburg, MD; a daughter, Melissa Roe (Rob) of Federalsburg; two sons, John Jump, III (Crystal) of Cambridge and Jeffrey Jump (Trisha) of Horntown, VA; three grandchildren: Rebbecca Roe, Will Roe, and Elizabeth Jump; three sisters: Wanda Blades, Donna Lindner, and Debbie Neri (John); and a brother, Dale Jump.  He was preceded in death by a brother, Ricky Jump.

     The funeral service will be 11:45 on Thursday, February 8th, at the Moore Funeral Home, P.A. in Denton, MD. Friends may visit with the family from 11 until 11:45 before the service.  The interment will follow in the MD Eastern Shore Veterans Cemetery in Hurlock, MD.
